A Youtuber has recorded a day in the life working in Tokyo of a 22-year-old young female delivery worker. From the video, this young lady shows independence and strong professional skills as a female Courier that how to work and live in the most expensive city, Tokyo.
Japan’s work life and culture can be seen throughout the video from this young lady. Yasuho, who is 22 years old, like many young Japanese, lives in a one-bedroom single apartment and recently has started working in a Japanese company Sagawa. She shows much enthusiasm for her job, being a delivery worker.
She gets up at 5:45 am every weekday and spends 10-15mins for a quick and sophisticated make-up. After having breakfast in the office, she starts to pick up the boxes and load them into her microvan. She must do an extremely detailed safe-check, and completely clean her van before starting deliveries at around 8:30 am. She has a 1.5h for her lunchtime and usually finishes her deliveries before 5:00 pm.
In the video, we can see she takes outstanding care of her packages and interacts with customers to build trust that gives her motivation. “I love working in Japan!” She says to the camera and smiles, “it is fun and very much a teamwork job.”
When she returns home, it is nearly 7:00 pm. She makes a simple and healthy dinner for herself and goes to bed at 10 o’clock.
