Connecting Dots | International dragon boat race: foreigners enjoy Chinese culture in HK
Hong Kong held a grand dragon boat race during the Dragon Boat Festival that attracted foreign visitors and teams worldwide. This race was considered the first large-scale water event in Hong Kong since the pandemic outbreak, and all the teams had prepared for it for a long time, showing high enthusiasm and competitiveness.
During our street interviews, we talked to many foreign visitors and participants who expressed great excitement about the race. Many of them said that it was their first time taking part in such a grand event after the pandemic, and it was also a great opportunity for them to experience the culture and charm of Hong Kong.
The participants also expressed their high admiration for Hong Kong. They praised the city for being very friendly, with a pleasant climate that made them feel comfortable and relaxed, and expressed their hope to have the chance to revisit Hong Kong in the future.
Hong Kong has a unique geographical location and cultural heritage, serving as an important intersection of Chinese and world cultures. Through this race, Hong Kong showcased its unique culture and charm to the world and promoted friendship and exchange among people of different countries.
