The famous British band Coldplay performed at the Kai Tak Stadium today (April. 8) evening, but tickets for the concert are hard to find, and the price of "scalp" is even higher. At 5:30 PM, the news reporter came to the vicinity of the venue and directly investigated the scalper.

The reporter saw that a young man wearing a cap was talking with another heavyset man and showed the tickets in his hand to explain the different fares. The reporter also came forward to understand that the young man took out two tickets with an official price of HK$1,699 for non-connected seats and quoted two HK$4,400, that is, HK$2,200 each, equivalent to an increase of about HK$500 each.

Four fellow middle-aged men are looking for Coldplay concert tickets to buy back; in addition to buying back, they also have some tickets to sell. They roughly doubled the price of the HK $1,399 ticket to HK$2,800, then reduced the price by HK$200 to a "concession price" of HK$2,600, still about HK $1,200 more than the original price.

In addition, there are foreign "scalpers". A foreigner wearing a black crossbody bag showed the reporter in English his only remaining HK$699 ticket, which was quoted at HK$2,000, a direct increase of nearly three times. When he heard that the buyer wanted two tickets, he also called a friend on the spot to ask if there were more tickets.

The reporter noticed that there were many police officers on duty at the scene and learned from them that in addition to maintaining the security of the scene, when they found that there was a confirmed scalping behavior, they would also manage it.

Scalpers involved in scalping, or associated anonymous speculation for profit, the behavior seriously affects the legitimate sales channels, is an illegal act. The public is also at risk of buying or obtaining unauthorized tickets, which may encourage speculation. At this point, the public is also reminded to purchase tickets through regular ticketing channels to avoid being cheated and causing losses.
