With the deepening exchanges between China and Africa, the lion dance-a traditional Chinese performance mimicking the movements of a lion-is becoming increasingly popular in Kenya and other African countries.
Typically, the lion dance involves two performers: one acts as the lion's head while the other represents its body and tail. They mimic the lion's movements in a vibrant costume, accompanied by rhythmic drumbeats, gongs, and cymbals. Traditionally, this dance is performed during festivals like the Spring Festival and at events such as business openings to bring good luck and fortune.
