The 43rd Hong Kong Film Awards will be held on April 27, with actor Lau Ching-wan nominated for Best Actor for his performance in the film Papa. He expressed confidence in his work but acknowledged that his predecessor, Michael Hui, also delivered an outstanding performance. Lau lamented the absence of Dayo Wong from the nominations, praising his acting in the film.

Lau noted, "This is a matter of selection; he absolutely has the chance to be nominated again. He is unparalleled in the industry. I've made so many movies, yet none have achieved that level of box office." He joked about the competition for Best Actor, which is seen as a contest between him and Michael Hui, stating, "It's hard for me to compare with him; he is a significant, significant senior, while I am a junior."

Regarding his nomination for Best Actor at the Asian Film Awards, Lau expressed confidence, saying, "If I don't have confidence in myself, how can I expect others to have confidence in me?" He acknowledged the high caliber of actors from different countries in the nominations.

Karen Mok, who hasn't seen Lau in years, reminisced about their last collaboration 20 or 30 years ago and expressed a desire to work with him again. Currently focused on her concert tours, she revealed plans to apply for the main venue at Kai Tak Sports Park for her show, THE BIG BIG SHOW. She noted that the venue would be a perfect fit, although she heard the schedule is already full this year.

On a somber note, Mok reflected on the passing of singer Khalil Fong, whom she greatly admired. She described him as a passionate music creator, expressing her sadness over his unexpected departure. Mok shared that she had invited him to collaborate on a song for her last album, highlighting the deep respect she had for his artistry.
