Hong Kong Observatory (HKO) reported today (September 7) that the outer rainbands of Super Typhoon Yagi are bringing showers and thunderstorms to the coast of Guangdong.
At noon, Yagi has centered about 190 kilometers east-southeast of Hanoi and is forecast to move west-northwest at about 15 kilometers per hour across Beibu Wan and towards the northern part of Vietnam.
HKO predicted that mainly cloudy with a few showers and thunderstorms. Moderate to fresh easterly winds. Occasionally strong offshore and on high ground at first. There will be swells.
Showers will ease off gradually in the next couple of days, and the weather will improve.
