Govt to slowly cancel most testing centers: Acting CE

A testing center contractor revealed that the contract will expire at the end of February. Acting Chief Executive Chan Kwok-ki said today (Feb. 7)  that the government will gradually reduce the number of community testing centers, but will retain some testing centers for contingency, stressing the epidemic is still not over.

The government has relaxed a number of social distancing measures, but the epidemic is still not over, he said. "We will not remove all testing centers in the near future, but will leave some for occasional needs. The government will gradually reduce the number of testing centers."
