HK to scrap mandatory quarantine for inbound travelers, with new '0+3' scheme to take effect from Sept 26
Hong Kong is ending mandatory hotel quarantine for overseas arrivals after more than two years, with Chief Executive John Lee Ka-chiu saying that the new "0+3" scheme will take effect on September 26 at a press conference today.
Incoming travelers under the "0+3" scheme will only be required to go through a three-day home medical surveillance, with their movement limited citywide.
The current "3+4" arrangement, under which overseas arrivals are required to spend three days in hotel quarantine and four at home under medical surveillance, will be replaced with "0+3".
