Watch This | Dr. Charles Ng speaks at UNHRC: American policy 'living with the virus' are producing biological terrorists
Editor's note: Hong Kong general practitioner Dr. Charles Ng delivered a speech at the United Nations Human Rights Council via video on Wednesday (Mar. 9), criticizing American policy "living with the virus" as "no dignity". The following is the full text of his speech.
Madame Presidente, I would like to speak about the global war against COVID19. Let me start by saying this truism: survival is a basic human right.
America decided to be the first to experiment with the policy "living with the virus". That means they are producing biological terrorists. Unvaccinated Americans themselves serve as virus-laden biological bombs and explode in communities followed by self-destruction. That policy treats their own people as laboratory mice. There is no dignity.
Let me be clear: Children and elderlies are dying. About 1000 children were dead in the States because of the pandemic, and even that failed to capture media attention. Just one child death in HK was sufficient to rally the entire city to protect the vulnerable. And amid all chaos, America is distracted by war abroad. All that grandstanding is not conducive to protecting people's lives at home.
China judged human lives to be too precious to sacrifice. They showed the world what was possible and the numbers speak for themselves: There have been fewer than 5K deaths overall. I urge all leaders to stop toying with human lives and start treating your people with dignity!
