Pic of the Day | Queen Elizabeth catches COVID, as England is poised to relax rules
Britain's Queen Elizabeth had tested positive for COVID-19 drew shock, concern, and messages of goodwill from across the country on Sunday (Feb. 20), with politicians and the public willing the 95-year-old to recover.
News of the Queen's illness comes as Prime Minister Boris Johnson is preparing to ease the remaining restrictions on coronavirus in Britain, including a five-day quarantine requirement after receiving a positive test result. Johnson will roll out plans to lift those rules by the end of February.
Buckingham Palace said the Queen will continue to receive medical treatment, follow relevant guidelines, and perform some light work at Windsor Castle in the coming week.
