HK's police chief, security secretary promoted
According to a Xinhua report on Friday (June 25), the State Council, on the nomination and recommendation by Hong Kong's Chief Executive Carrie Lam, has decided to appoint John Lee Ka-chiu, who is currently the Secretary for Security, as the Chief Secretary for Administration, replacing Matthew Cheung Kin-chung. Commissioner of Police Tang Ping-keung is appointed as Secretary for Security, while Deputy Commissioner of Police Siu Chak-yee will take over Tang's post.
