Chief designer of Shenzhou spacecraft gives lecture in PolyU
A team of national aerospace scientists has arrived in Hong Kong on Tuesday (June 22) afternoon, and some of them are set to give lectures at the Polytechnic University (PolyU) and the University of Hong Kong on Wednesday and Thursday.
Qi Faren, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and chief designer of Shenzhou spaceship will be the first to give a lecture titled "China's space achievements and space spirit" in PolyU on Wednesday (June 23) morning. The lecture will be broadcasted live on DotDotNews' channel (Chinese only).
The PolyU has participated in many national space exploration missions over the years. Two other lectures will be given by Xie Jun, deputy chief designer of the BeiDou navigation satellite system, and Zhang He, executive director of the Chang'e 4 probe project, respectively. During the visit, scientists will introduce China's achievements in space programs as well as Chinese scientists' can-do spirit demonstrated.
