Chinese netizens call for fashion retailer H&M to "get out of the Chinese market" after it came to light that the company said it has stopped using products from Xinjiang, citing so-called human rights concerns.
Other international apparel brands, including Nike, Adidas, Uniqlo and Zara, among others, are also facing social media backlash in China due to their affiliation with the Better Cotton Initiative (BCI), a major international cotton sustainability organization, which suspended licensing of farms in Xinjiang last year due to alleged "forced labor concerns."
