OMG | Chinese primary school radio gymnastics replaced by hip-hop dance
In China, students in primary and high schools always need to do radio gymnastics in the playground during break time, with a few minutes of rigorous bending, stretching, and thrusting, as parts of a regular performance.
At Dianzi Primary School in Cangxi County, Sichuan, a female music teacher named Ren Yang came up with a new idea to improve traditional and boring radio gymnastics. As a big fan of hip-hop and jazz dance, Yang decided to teach her students street dance. Until now, the children can dance to at least five or six of the most famous hip-hop music.
