CE: Central Government supports full implementation of 24 policy measures to benefit HK
Hong Kong Chief Executive Carrie Lam delivers her fourth Policy Address at the Legislative Council today (Nov. 25). Lam says the Central Government supports the full implementation of the 24 policy initiatives that would benefit HK by the end of this year.
Lam indicates that the Central Government's support measures include consolidating and enhancing HK's status as an international financial center, deepening economic interconnection, and connectivity between HK and mainland China, enhancing HK's status as a global aviation hub, building an international technology innovation center, and improving the construction of land crossings in HK and Shenzhen.
The Central Government supports and requests the HKSAR Government to take all necessary measures to "prevent the importation of infected cases from outside and rebound inside." Local government will gradually and orderly resume the flow of HK residents between Guangdong and HK through mutual recognition of "health codes" when the epidemic in HK is under control, Lam points out.
Lam states that these strong policy supports will benefit HK in proposing and implementing specific initiatives in various areas. The HKSAR Government will strengthen communication and interactions with the Central Government and the Guangdong Provincial Government's relevant ministries and commissions to take forward multiple tasks.
