Frontline of Taobao Maker Festival 2020|An ordinary's Iron Man dream comes true
Reported by Ivy Yu in Hangzhou, Edited and translated by Hao Li
Liu Dongsheng, a 34-year-old ordinary man from Honghe Prefecture in Yunnan Province, has dreamed since childhood that he would one day be able to fly like Iron Man.
To accomplish this dream, Liu spent a year and 700,000 RMB to build a set of flight suits that allow him to fly 20 kilometers at a speed of 80 kilometers per hour in the air two meters off the ground.
For Liu, Taobao is his base for building dreams, and many of the essential parts for this flight jacket were found on Taobao. "The merchants in Taobao are extraordinarily fabulous, and they can understand even the most bizarre ideas," Liu said.
Taobao not only provides him with a supply chain but also builds a stage for him. At this year's Taobao Maker Festival (TMF), Liu brought his flight jacket to four cities. More and more people could get to know his idea of creating standardized flight suits and solving travel problems.
The reporter learned that among the technology products participating in the TMF, China’s "Tianwen-1" Mars probe of the same simulator "Mars Exploration Simulator" has just been successfully launched.
The DingTalk team also brought along office AR glasses to give people a live experience of working in a mall in Paris or on a beach in the Maldives!
