China to encourage domestic sale of export enterprises
China will support export enterprises to sell their products in the domestic market by easing market access, expanding sales channels, and strengthening financial assistance to help them tide over difficulties and stabilize foreign trade.
This year, China will provide domestic market access for originally exported products that meet specific technical standards. According to the State Council guidelines, the government will also simplify the necessary certification procedures for related products.
Firms will be encouraged to make products for export and domestic sales on the same production line, to the same standards and of the same quality, to reduce production costs and facilitate trade transformation.
Domestic sales platforms will be established for enterprises by setting up export product zones at the online shopping festival and organizing promotional activities in major shopping streets. According to the guidelines, additional measures to be taken include promoting direct procurement by large domestic, commercial companies and attracting local buyers at large trade fairs.
Efforts will be made to connect export companies with the country's new infrastructure, new urbanization initiatives, and significant projects. This will assist enterprises in strengthening collaborative innovations in the industrial chain, adjust the industrial structure, and accelerate technological upgrades.
The guidelines emphasized measures to help enterprises develop marketable domestic products, create their brands, make full use of new business modes, and adopt a combination of online and offline development to meet the needs of domestic consumption upgrading.
Financial institutions are encouraged to improve supply chain financing services and strengthen operational credit support for the enterprises.
