Huawei, ZTE will support commercial launch of 5G messages starting in June
The three major operators, China Mobile, China Telecom, and China Unicom, jointly released the rich media messaging service-5G messages service on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Huawei announced it would support 5G messaging in June. Also, ZTE successfully made the first call of 5G messages based on the GSMAUP2.4 standard in Hangzhou, and the end of June will launch the official commercial.

Furthermore, 5G messages will bring a brand-new human-computer interaction mode. Users can complete a one-stop business experience of service search, discovery, interaction, payment, etc. within the message window, and build a new information service portal. 5G messages support rich media formats, including text, pictures, audio and video.
5G messages will break the length limitation of each message in traditional SMS, and will also cut through the text limitation in terms of content, to effectively integrate text, pictures, audio, video, location and other information for individual users.
